Vilamoura will host the Algarve's first IRONMAN 70.3 in 2027

Vilamoura has once again established itself as a premier destination for major international events. The IRONMAN organization has officially announced the IRONMAN 70.3 Vilamoura-Algarve, with the first edition scheduled for April 3, 2027, kicking off the competition’s European season.

The race will bring together thousands of athletes from around the world to tackle a course consisting of a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run, set against a stunning backdrop that combines the ocean, the marina, golf courses, and the natural landscapes of the Algarve.
