Vilamoura Marina named Superyacht Marina of the Year 2026

Vilamoura Marina once again stood out on the international scene by winning the "Superyacht Marina of the Year 2026" award, awarded by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), a distinction that recognizes the excellence of marinas dedicated to the superyacht segment.

The winners of the Marina of the Year Awards 2026 were announced during the Southampton International Boat Show in the United Kingdom. In the category dedicated to superyachts, Vilamoura Marina took first place, followed by Yalikavak Marina in Turkey and YAS Marina in the United Arab Emirates.

The distinction results from the vote of users and values the experience provided by the marinas, from the quality of service and facilities to the welcome and attention provided by the respective teams.

Vilamoura reinforces its international projection

More than a recognition of the nautical sector, this award contributes to strengthening Vilamoura's position as an international destination of reference in the Algarve.

The Marina is one of the main meeting points in the region, bringing together nautical, catering, commerce, hotels and entertainment in an environment that has become inseparable from the Vilamoura lifestyle.

International recognition also accompanies a path marked by several distinctions. In 2023, Vilamoura Marina became the first Portuguese marina to achieve 5 Gold Anchor Platinum certification, the maximum level of The Yacht Harbour Association's Gold Anchor program.

In the 2026 edition of the Marina Awards, Vilamoura was once again in evidence in another category: the Vilamoura Marina – Nova Marina won second place in the "International Marina of the Year" award.
