World Adventure Golf Tour - Final 2024/2025 - Vilamoura

This will be an absolutely memorable weekend that will go down in the sporting history of the Algarve, marked by the presence of the greats who will compete in a special Minigolfer Final. And all because, for the first time in Portugal, the final of the WAGT - World Adventure Golf Tour will take place between the 10th and 11th of May, which is Mini, only Golf!

The Family Golf Park, in Vilamoura, is part of the Top 10 of the WMF - World Adventure Golf Tour, a fair recognition for having reached the level of the best in the world in this sector... And this explains its status as Host of this last stage of the WAGT, which will reveal the Champion of the world circuit.

Competing for the first prize will be some of the biggest international names in the sport (some of whom are renowned athletes, with distinguished records in various sports), namely the New Zealander and current world champion, Cameron Couper (New Zealand Open 2024 and Australian Masters 2024), will be joined by Welshman Seve Kukielka (current world number 02, and winner of the 'Portuguese Open 2024') and Daniel Vlcek, the Czech who holds third place in the world (winner of the 'Czech Adventure Golf Masters 2024'), as well as Austrian Petra Riegler, the best ranked in the world.

The WAGT final will also feature athletes from Sweden, Finland, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Germany, Slovakia, among others. Tiger Woods will not be present, but the living legend of golf is one of the most recognized enthusiasts of 'Adventure Golf', whose popularity has registered a strong increase in the last decade.

With the realization of this World Final in Portugal, the Algarve once again asserts itself internationally and by experts, as a destination of excellence not only for the high quality of its 'products' sun and sea, gastronomy, golf, entertainment, among others, but also for Adventure Golf, creating a new and prestigious International podium for this family sport.

This special World Final of a sport that is played with the family reinforces, in a unique way, the prestige and notoriety of one of the best family destinations in the world – and once again shows that Portugal and the Algarve can be proud of, in two sister sports that bring so many jobs and prizes to the country, to be able to capture, year after year and club-by-club, events that keep us 'below par' and constantly rubbing shoulders with giants.

World Adventure Golf Tour

It is produced in partnership with the WMF, being the only official Adventure Golf circuit; It consists of 12 tournaments held in 11 countries and 03 continents. The Grand Final, which this year will take place in Vilamoura, Portugal, will feature players from all over the world, who compete to crown a world champion.

Family Golf Park

Located right in the centre of Vilamoura, adjacent to the Roman ruins, this theme park was opened in August 1997 and provides a splendid family day out. Designed by the architect Margarida Quirino, the FGP has 02 courses of 18 holes each and allows you to know important passages of the Romans through the Iberian Peninsula. Since 2023, it has been part of the Top 10 of the WMF - World Adventure Golf Tour, along with the best in the world in the sector, whose stage for the world circuit counts for the Ranking.
